New Zealand has long welcomed migrants for the skills and new ideas that they bring.

South Africans are drawn to New Zealand for it’s relatively safe communities and similar way of life. Over the last 15 years large numbers have made New Zealand their home. In fact, right now over 42,000 South African born people live in New Zealand.

The following graph shows the trend of migration from the UK to New Zealand which has significantly increased in recent years. This is largely due to New Zealand’s demand for skills and the Government’s proactive approach to attracting talented Brits.
