Jobs from more than 25 employers were being represented and recruited for under the banner of Opportunity Canterbury who attended our UK Expos this November on a special drive to recruit workers for the massive Christchurch rebuild.
Not only did they recruit construction professionals - quantity surveyors, project managers (residential), painters, plasterers, structural engineers, builders (particularly those with experience supervising house builds and repairs with multiple subtrades), bricklayers and stone masons - they were also on the hunt for healthcare, finance, electrics, engineering, IT, law, radio communications and city council specialists.
